Type 2 DC Surge Protection

Data Line Surge Protection Device 800V 3P T2| LKX-PV

The Type 2 SPD Surge Protective Device 20–40kA 800V DC 3-Pole (LKX-PV) delivers reliable Class II surge protection for medium-to-high voltage DC and photovoltaic systems, effectively reducing transient overvoltage, switching surges, and induced lightning currents. Built with high-energy MOV modules, thermal disconnection protection, and fast response performance, it ensures stable safety for PV arrays, combiner boxes, multi-string inverters, DC distribution panels, energy-storage systems, and 800V DC off-grid or hybrid solar installations.

    Installation considerations

    1. Prior to installation, confirm complete power isolation. Any operation under live conditions is expressly forbidden.
    2. The surge protector's input side should incorporate an in-line fuse or circuit breaker as protective measure.
    3. Adhere strictly to the provided wiring schematic: DC+ denotes positive terminal, DC- indicates negative terminal, and PE represents grounding conductor. Ensure proper polarity during installation. Upon completion, activate the protective device (circuit breaker/fuse) and validate normal operational parameters.
    4. Following installation, properly position the unit and conduct functional verification of the surge protective device.
    5. Implement periodic maintenance checks on the surge protector, including monitoring of the diagnostic indicator. A red warning display or alarm contact activation signifies device failure requiring immediate attention through repair or replacement.
    6. When installing multiple surge protectors in parallel configuration, maintain true parallel wiring with properly secured connections using appropriately sized conductors of minimal length and direct routing.
