Remote Signaling Surge Protection Device 1200V 2P T2| LKX-PV
Type 2 DC Surge Protection

Remote Signaling Surge Protection Device 1200V 2P T2| LKX-PV

The Type 2 SPD Surge Protective Device 20–40kA 1200V DC 2-Pole (LKX-PV) provides dependable Class II surge protection for high-voltage photovoltaic and DC power networks, effectively suppressing transient overvoltage, switching surges, and induced lightning currents. Featuring high-capacity MOV protection, thermal disconnector safety, and fast response time, it ensures long-term stability for large PV arrays, combiner boxes, string/central inverters, battery-storage systems, DC distribution panels, and 1200V DC off-grid or hybrid solar installations.

    Installation considerations

    1. Before installation, ensure power is disconnected. Operating while energized is strictly prohibited.
    2. It is recommended to install a fuse or circuit breaker in series at the front end of the surge protection module.
    3. Follow the installation diagram for connection during installation. DC+ is the positive pole, DC- is the negative pole, and PE is the ground wire. Avoid incorrect connections. After installation, close the circuit breaker (or fuse) switch and check if the operation status is normal.
    4. After installation, insert the module into place and verify if the surge protection module is functioning correctly.
    5. During use, regularly inspect the surge protection module and check the status of the fault display window. If the fault display window turns red or if the remote signaling terminal outputs an alarm signal, it indicates a malfunction of the surge protection module, which should be promptly repaired or replaced.
    6. Parallel-connected power surge protection modules should be installed in parallel. The connection wires must be secure, reliable, short, thick, and straight.
